band camp*

oh my god i am so tired.

monday was band camp day one! and orientation group leaders' camp too. reached school real early monday morning, ran into su jin on my way to the band room, eileen came soon after. talked a lot of crap, more people came, and apparently our presidents aren't setting good examples by being almost late themselves. haix. breathing gym is so hilarious.. haha thanks to julian(who told me and mag to come all the way to the back of the lt) mag and i had quite a nice time slacking. after that, went for ogl camp, my family's called fede, which means 'faith'. it's fun, all the s29 people are in fede! alvin's our assigned intern, family head's terrence(not the band terrence). learned the mass dance, which i couldn't really do because of my knee. but it's okay. i was really really hungry, blame it on not having something to eat before i left for college. was so envious when i saw all the band people breaking for lunch while i still had to learn that mass dance.. well, never mind, kian hong and his friend were putting up some pretty nice entertainment at the back, haha.. had lunch with vanessa, ro and liane, trying to think of cheers for fede.. one went something like this..

'fede, what's your favourite food?'
'fede-o-fish!'(fillet-o-fish, we were at macs when we thought of this).

okay lame i know. but seriously.. perhaps we should recycle some vega cheers haha. after lunch had the wet games.. again thanks to my knee i didn't have to take part.. instead i just stood around snapping pictures with my fx-7. there was one game where terrence said, 'go stand over there whether you're playing or not because you all have to play.' i glared at him and he backed off. hahah.. well, nice to know that i at least have some influence on people x) after that he complained that i didn't take any pictures of him.. so i did. just for the heck of it. =)

after wet games and debrief yan leng, kian hong and i went to join the band for dinner.. dr lee was like, 'finally you come!' when i went to put my bag in the band room. went to the macs at 201 there.. it was a lot of fun, mag found out a lot about our seniors, after i told her everything(or almost everything.. haha). the school gates were locked when we went back and had to wait for someone to open the gates for us.. after that, on the way back, i said that i was looking forward to being in the band room since i had spent three hours in the sun.. then from behind someone said, 'really?' turned around, it was dr lee.. got a shock of my life.. i would have fallen down the stairs again if i hadn't clung on to the railing for dear life.. i told myself next time i'm not going to walk in front of dr lee again.. hahah.. combine was pretty good, i was very hyper. dr lee scolded us for playing too loud, said we ate too much for dinner. conclusion: before competition, feed the tuba section!! got home rather late.

tuesday, band camp day two! started later than monday because of the number of people coming late(and almost coming late). seniors had physics lecture, and yan leng came really late lah can.. around lunch time haha. me, simin and mag went to kfc for lunch.. kiong wee said he might join us but in the end he didn't.. julian had math tutorial. combine was good, i think we're improving, really i do. for dinner we went to loyang point at aidah's suggestion.. dr lee came with us. found out he's not such a scary person after all, in fact, he's rather fun, if you know how to joke with him. =) because i was the one who told them what bus to take he asked me where i stayed.. which was one bus stop away from loyang point.. so he asked me why i didn't go to loyang sec.. then i said, 'too smart liaox', to which he turned to julian and said, 'your junior arh, heard that?' hahah.. when we sat down to dinner dr lee treated us to some food.. not sure what it's called but it's like an assortment of things like fishcakes and century egg and stuff like that.. dr lee told us must eat everything.. so we were trying to force julian to eat the last piece.. he suggested me play the number game, the person who guess the number must eat.. so the bassoonist(i forgot her name) set the number.. then julian said, 'okay i guess first.. 50.' then everyone stare at him.. because the 'secret number' was 50, so in the end he still have to eat it.. haha then daniel turned to us and said, 'dr lee say later tuba section don't play so loudly..' hahah so as julian ate the last piece kwang liang said, 'flat 20.. in tune.. sharp 10..' julian almost choked.. it's just some lame joke, so we decided to leave julian to finish the food in peace, but dr lee decided otherwise.. he went to hit julian on the back and julian really choked.. of course this sent us into delirious fits of laughter.. x)

and of course we were late getting back for band, but what does it matter, dr lee was with us =)

i was quite hyper as usual.. band ended around 8, went down to the basketball court in school at 8.30 to play basketball.. until around nine, then i switched to playing soccer.. i haven't played soccer for so long, but it was really fun.. as usual i was the only girl playing soccer, but who cares.. it was fun.. then around 9.30, went to play basketball again.. was totally soaked in sweat, but i guess it's good, must jian fei you know.. haha.. reached home like 10++. promised to buy breakfast for my section and the clarinettists. and samantha messaged me at 3 am, telling me they were still playing basketball.. haha apparently someone called the police to complain and they were chased off the court.. heard they played truth or dare too last night, some of the dares were quite interesting eh? haha..

this morning i failed to wake up when my alarm rang, i didn't hear it at all.. mum woke me up at 7, thanks mum.. rushed out of the house because i promised to bring breakfast, and i told them i'd be there before eight.. so took a bus down to college then walked to t-mart where i bought everything i needed to buy.. walked back to college, called to wake samantha, grace, hwaee, michelle and mag.. went up the stairs.. daniel, chuen yang and quite a number of other people were awake already.. mr lim saw me and asked if i stayed overnight, replied that i didn't, then he asked why i came so early.. raised the plastic bags in my hands and said i brought breakfast.. everyone's eyes were so round.. envious i guess haha.. waited for sam and the rest to wash up, then had breakfast.. chuen yang didn't ask me to buy anything, so he just watched us eat.. then after that he said, 'nathasha i'm hungry', so i said, 'so?' then he said, 'do what you do........ go buy breakfast for me can..?' diaox.. hahah..

cleaned up the band room after.. quite clean now!! =) neat and tidy.. our cupboard also tidy le.

went back to tkgs to collect my award money.. i'm richer le.. yay! went to see the band as well, of course, what is seeing the band without getting suan-ed by ms sia right.. hahah.. now she calls me her 'enemy'.. we all know she doesn't mean that. =) mr minowa, mr miwa and mr miro came to give the band tips on how to improbe the playing for their praise jerusalem.. almost fell asleep. owe it all to the fact that i slept only 3 hours the night before.. or at least, that's what grace said.
